Are you ISO 9001 certified?
Yes, we are ISO 9001 certified!
What’s the biggest part you can run?
Our largest press is 800T and can mold parts up to 102" x 72"
Do you require MOQs?
Yes, we do require MOQs. It all depends on the customer and project.
Are you IATF 16949 Certified
We will have IATF 16949 certification by the end of 2025
Do you offer material certifications or compliance documentation?
Yes, we can provide Certificates of Conformity and Certificates of Analysis assuring that the material and product meet the requirements.
What information do I need to provide for a custom quote?
We are able to work with the information that you have available to provide pricing. Typically we prefer to receive material requirements, drawing, CAD, and EAU volumes. With that being said, we understand that not all of this information is always available and we do our best to work with the information our customers have available. In some scenarios we work off of samples from our customers and help provide drawings and the other information that is helpful from a documentary perspective.
How long does the quoting process typically take?
For most RFQs we are able to turn around quotes in 2-3 business days. We do our best to provide quotes with the available information even if just for budgetary purposes if certain assumptions are made. We are able to turn around quotes the fastest when all of the information is available including CAD. For large packets of RFQs with many parts the lead time can be longer but it depends on what information we are provided with and how many parts are in the RFQ packet. We strive to provide quick service in our quoting process and will give your projects quick turnarounds.
What is your typical production lead time?
Our standard lead time in rubber molding, mandrel formed hoses, extrusion, polyurethane molding is 6-8 weeks. The lead time can vary in certain scenarios depending on the part, and process being used but the 6-8 week lead time applies to 95%+ of the products that we make. We have multiple trucks that go from our Mexico factory to our USA warehouses everyday. The shipping time to the west coast of the USA is 1 day, and for the midwest and East Coast the shipping time is typically 5 days.
Do you offer expedited manufacturing?
Yes, in most cases we do not charge for expedited manufacturing, but just do our best to meet the urgent requirements that our customers have. We strive to develop long term relationships with our customers and do our best to support all of our customer requirements.
Can you handle both small batch and high-volume production?
Yes, we make hundreds of molds a year at low cost which makes us a strategic supplier for all size orders. This low cost tooling cost helps low to medium volume projects be favorable to be run at our company where normal tooling cost with other suppliers can be 2x or more the tooling cost.
Do you manufacture in-house or outsource production?
We manufacture everything that we quote and on our website in house. We have 5 facilities in Mexico that are dedicated to these different processes including mold making. We have a wide array of manufacturing capabilities in large part because we make a lot of asssemblies and kits. We have also strived to make all of our kits in North America to avoid having supply chains that are reliant on overseas supply chains.
Are your products FDA, REACH, or RoHS compliant?
Yes, it is a common request from our customers to supply certificates showing compliance of our products to REACH, FDA CFR 21 part 177, RoHS, Prop 65, conflict minerals, and more. We have a strong lab with chemical engineers and control of our raw materials so we can ensure our products meet the requirements needed for your products.
Can you help with material selection for my application?
Yes, we have decades of experience developing different compounds and have made 1000s of different rubber products so in most cases we have similar previous experience. Our engineering team can provide recommendations for materials that can work in your application. We are willing to support your projects to the desired extent from just making a part to print with the requirements called out to supporting the engineering material selection and product design.
Can you provide material certifications, traceability, and batch test reports (e.g. Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Conformity)?
Yes, we often provide material certifications with each lot or shipment. We also have full tracability in our ERP system to trace back each lot of parts to the preforms, compounds, and to the specific lot items of the raw materials used in the compound.
What is the typical shelf-life or storage recommendation for uncured rubber/silicone compounds?
We compound nearly all of our rubber compounds in house, and we have many sizes of mixers so we have great flexibility to produce only the material that we need and when we need the material. In some situations customers want us to use a specific compound already approved, in those cases the shelf life is an important factor. We have an industrial refrigerated storage to help maximize the shelf life of these specific compounds to give the most flexibility to our customers as possible. The typical shelf life once curatives are mixed in is around 6 months for most of our compounds but depends greatly on the compound and whether the cure system is peroxide, sulfur, platinum or another cure system.
How do you handle tooling costs, mold approval, and design revisions?
Being a top automotive supplier with 1000+ part numbers produced we have developed excellent processes to handle quoting, designing molds, and controlling design revisions. We use an excellent collaborative software for handling mold design, approvals, access control and revision control with full tracability. We also use a product lifecycle management software called 3d Experience which gives full tracability, approval process and saves files on a revision basis for all engineering files including drawings, CAD files, CAM files and more.
What shipping options are available, and how are customs / import-export logistics handled (especially for shipments to USA)?
In our quotes we typically provide pricing that gives several options for the trade terms and takeover location. Our typical options are either EXW Ensenada, Mexico; San Diego, CA; Yuma, Arizona; Louisville, KY; or DAP delivered pricing to our customers' facility when desired. For our USA customers we typically handle the export to the USA and shipping so that our customers can take over the shipment once in the USA. This allows our customers to avoid having to deal with customs, customer brokers, etc. We have a company in the USA for handling all transactions in the USA and for our customers it is as if you are working with a USA manufacturer especially since the transit time to the USA is 1 day and we have a large support staff in the USA.
What quality control and inspection processes do you have (e.g. dimensional inspection, hardness testing, batch traceability)?
The quality control and inspection process varies depending on the product type and requirements but we can meet most requirements. We commonly work with production part approval process (PPAP). For all rubber compounds we do a 100% rheometer cure profile test on the compounds to ensure that there are no issues in the compounding process. We have many products where we also do 100% inspection of strength properties, compression set and more. We have a full service rubber lab with chemical engineers to support most rubber products tests at our facility. We have full batch tracability for raw materials and tests being conducted on each lot as well. We can meet most customer requriements from a testing, control and tracabiilty perspecitve as we have excellent controls working with many major corporations.
Do you offer long-term supply agreements or just single-order fulfillment?
We typically work off just single order fulfillment but do work with some customers on a long term supply agreement basis. We are open to handling supplier/customer relationships either with a firm long term contract or with just typical supply per order transactions.
