Rubber vibration control is critical for the best performance in the toughest of applications
- Custom Engineered Solutions
- Application Specific Rubber Compounds
- Measureable Results
In many applications including automotive mountings of components would create a lot of noise and vibrations without rubber mounts. The rubber mounts play a critical role in minimizing noise, and decreasing vibrations. Decreasing vibrations is critical as long term vibrations can affect many other interconnected parts, and affect the long term performance of the vehicle or machine if left unchecked. If a bushing mount that is too hard is used a minimal amount of the vibrations will be decreased. When using softer bushings that help decrease more vibrations it is important to use a well designed compound or the quality of the rubber bushing mount could be compromised. A common material used by many manufacturers is foamed polyurethane to get the hardness down, but unfortunately this material along with other materials degrade from environmental exposure after a few months to years. Rubber Mexico has developed a line of bushings mounts that have similar compression deflection as foam polyurethane, but using solid silicone rubber which has excellent environmental properties so that our products retain the excellent vibration damping properties for the life of the machine or vehicle. For applications which higher strength requirements we have developed similar bushings from 35A to 94A with a variety of different materials that we can tailor fit depending on our customers' requirements and application. We are able to work with virtually all materials used for rubber and polyurethane bushings.
We also have ample experience with overmolding rubber and polyurethane onto metal.

Compression-Deflection (ASTM D575)
In vibration control applications the compression-deflection is a critical physical property as it determines the level of stiffness and degree of vibration deafening. Rubber Mexico performs compression-deflection testing per ASTM D575 to determine the optimal level of stiffness and vibration deafening for the given application.
